きゅっと結んで、スキ １ [Kyutto Musunde, Suki 1] (2025)

The art is just literally is so gorgeous and adorable. I liked the fact they created disability awareness in this by having the ML as someone who is deaf. What I wish they didn't do with this shoujo is make it rushed and have the FL out to be those type of "typical" high school girls.

Das Cover ist wunderschön.
Die Zeichnungen und der Artstil finde ich umwerfend schön.
Ich habe den Manga in der Buchhandlung gesehen und ich musste ihn mitnehmen.

Die Geschichte ist so süß erzählt, was für ein Manga.
Der Manga hat mein Herz berührt und mich verzaubert.

Die Zeichnungen sind fokussiert auf Emotionen und Gesichtszüge, weich und wunderschön gezeichnet.
Die Geschichte berührt eine ganz tief im Herzen und zieht einen in einen Strudel voller Emotionen und Schmetterlinge.

Sehr realistisch und authentisch wurde das mit der Gebärdensprache erzählt. Das sind auch ein paar meiner Lieblingsszenen.
Und das beide Charaktere aus ihrem gewöhnlichen Umfeld ausbrechen um zu dem anderen zu gelangen.
Einfach traumhaft.
Die Szene wo Yuito versucht das erste mal wieder zu sprechen hat mich umgehauen.
Auch das beide Charaktere für eine gemeinsame Zukunft kämpfen fand ich einfach unbeschreiblich schön.
Ein wunderschöner Manga über die erste Liebe und Freundschaft mit einem umwerfenden Zeichenstil.

I'm pretty sure this was dropped/axed? The ending doesn't feel like an ending whatsoever and honestly I can barely tell what the plot even is.

Ich habe die Einzelbände von Umezawa-sensei schon gelesen, aber die waren ein bisschen... meh. Ich wollte nur sehen, ob sie beim längere Geschichte besser ist. Vor kurzem habe ich die erste zwei Bände von Medimops gekauft, aber der dritte kostet ungefähr 50€. Dann habe ich die ganze Serie auf Ebay gefunden.

Es gibt hier ein reiches Mädchen, das schon einen Verlobten hat. Die Eltern haben ihn gewählt. Sie verliebt sich aber in einen tauben Jungen. Und das war eine echte Überraschung. Plötzlich hat auch der Titel einen Sinn.

Ich bin sehr mit diesem ersten Band zufrieden.

Es tan sencilla y tierna! Las cosas suceden de forma precipitada, pero la situación de los protagonistas marca la diferencia y engancha. Realmente transmiten.

I feel a little biased going into this review because I couldn't stop comparing this story to A Sign of Affection by Morishita, Suu and I have to tell you, Kyutto Musunde, Suki is just not at the same level as that incredible story. Kyutto Musunde does still have a cute premise though, and I definitely enjoyed reading volume 1. I recommend this manga to anyone that loves the empathetic good girl and sweet good boy that protects his heroine trope.

Kyutto Musunde, Suki is the story of a kind high school girl from a rich family falling in mutual love with an equally kind hearing impaired boy from a different high school. They quickly learn to communicate with each other and the story follows the perspective of the female lead as she yearns to understand and get closer to the male lead, while simultaneously struggling with the knowledge that her parents intend to arrange her marriage to another for socio-economic gain.

The story follows a fairly basic and cliche track that is well known and well-loved by many shoujo manga fans, and it's really only the disability awareness that sets this story apart from others. I personally don't mind that as I'm one of those people that wants to read a million variations of my favorite cliche tropes and character archetypes, but if you're looking for something that stands out particularly well this isn't likely to satisfy that itch.

Although I'm glad I read this story, it did fall a little flat for me in how rushed and surface level it felt. We weren't given as much perspective as I would have liked, and although I thought the overall story was cute and sweet, I felt like everything came together too quickly and too smoothly. For example, the female lead seems to learn sign language basically overnight. It felt really unrealistic to me that there weren't any moments where she struggled to understand the male lead's sign language considering someone fluent in the language would speak quickly and with ease but someone completely inexperienced would definitely struggle to keep up. The male lead also seemed to understand everything the female lead said even without sign language, despite stating that he wasn't good at reading lips. Some of these inconsistencies bothered me, but overall I did really enjoy reading this story and I'm looking forward to reading the last two volumes when they eventually get translated.

Ich bin kein Fan von Kurzgeschichten, aber von Marina Umezawa hatte ich schon den Kurzgeschichtenband „Herzenswünsche“ sehr gemocht. Daher wollte ich diesem Manga auch eine Chance geben. Gott sei Dank. Die Hauptgeschichte nimmt etwas mehr als die Hälfte des Bandes ein und war einfach nur zuckersüß und berührend. Klar was das mit der von ihren Eltern arrangierten Verlobung der Prota sehr billig und übertrieben eingebaut. Das hätte man wirklich gut weglassen können. Trotzdem war es einfach so berührend, wie die Prota sich in den gehörlosen, sanften Yuito verliebt und die beiden die Hürde der erschwerten Kommunikation überwinden.
Die zweite Geschichte war auch sehr schön, aber eben leider zu kurz für meinen Geschmack. Hier war das Mädchen gehörlos und ein sympathischer Junge aus ihrer Klasse hilft ihr und beide verlieben sich. Die letzte Kurzgeschichte konnte dann leider nicht mehr mit den anderen beiden mithalten, war aber trotzdem noch unterhaltsam.
Der Zeichenstil ist grossartig. Ich liebe dieses niedliche und verspielte.
